About Precision
We are a family owned and operated company, and we’ve been serving the Portland metro area since 1979.
We have a combined ninety years as landscape professionals including design, installation and maintenance. As a mid-size company we run deep in collective experience, yet we are small enough to build relationships with our clients. This enables us to offer personalized service together with a focus on the details important to you.

We offer a full range of landscape maintenance and installation services. We specialize in installation of natural stonework in the landscape. Here are some of the jobs we take on:

Landscape Maintenance
Troy Cocioppo is the manager of our landscape maintenance division. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1993 with a BS in psychology and has been with us since 1994. With over twenty years at Precision he knows the company and maintenance procedures inside and out.
Landscape Installation
Josh Hubbard is the manager of our landscape installation division. He studied horticulture at Mount Hood Community College and has been working with plants ever since. He has professionally grown cut flowers, ran both perennial and tissue culture nurseries, owned and operated a landscape business. He retains the title of “Horticulturist” on his business card and has been employed at Precision since 2007.
Landscape Special Services
Reynaldo Memije is the manager of our landscape special services division. He came to the US to pursue better opportunities and made landscaping his profession. Most of his academic knowledge was obtained at Clackamas Community College. He joined Precision in 2008 and after demonstrating a commitment to quality work and customer service, he was promoted to management.
Licenses
We are licensed as an all phases landscape contractor with the State of Oregon: LCB #9493. For more information see the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board and search for our license 9493. Not only are we licensed, but we are also bonded and insured—a requirement for state licensing. We also maintain a commercial pesticide operator’s license with the State of Oregon. Both Troy and Josh retain commercial pesticide applicator licenses.
Company History
From the very beginning in 1979, Precision Landscape Services, Inc. has sought to provide a high quality of service to his customers.
As the business has grown, each employee has been trained to uphold the same standard of quality service. This consistent dedication to hard working principles is why we continue to bring “precision” quality to every job we do.

Humble beginnings
Way back in 1979, founder David Frohmader began landscaping with just a Datsun pickup and a trailer with the simple need of providing for his young family.
By 1985 we had three trucks providing maintenance services along with lawn and sprinkler installation. As the years passed we continued to add people and trucks. Upon moving to our current location in 1998 we had eight trucks. As of 2014 we have twelve trucks.
The company’s commitment to high quality, client satisfaction, hard work, and good ethics have not changed. Today the company employs from 12 – 18 people depending on the time of year.
Business growth
As the business grew, each employee has been trained to uphold the same standard of quality service. This consistent dedication to hard working principles is why we continue to bring “precision” quality to every job we do.
During 1997 and 1998 we built a new facility on SE Division St. just off of I-205. This location allows easy freeway access and is specifically designed to expedite our landscape operations.
Name changes
Over the years our focus has evolved. Our name has changed along the way to reflect these changes.

- Precision Landscape Maintenance reflected our focus on caring for the entire landscape
- Precision Landscape Services, Inc. shows our transition to all aspects of landscape installation and care.
